The Planting a Seed Mentoring Program was created by Celia’s House Inc. to address aggression and violence youth, the programs design will work in conjunction with Economic Opportunity Counsel of Suffolk Inc., SNUGS Violence Prevention, Wyandanch location.  The program is a series of 8 weekly age appropriated workshops available to high-risk and at -risk youth, an age range when violence-prone attitudes appear to increase and become entrenched. The workshops would include exercises, role play, lectures and guest speakers. Some of the topics covered would include;

• Decision Making/Problem Solving

• Positive Attitude Self-Motivation

• Empathy, Respecting self and others

• Peer Pressure

• Building self-confidence

• Critical thinking

• Mental Health
